How do we respond to an emergency? Typically by dialing 911, right? Well, what if your emergency services are overwhelmed during a natural disaster, catastrophe, or terrorism?
FEMA has recognized a program called "CERT: Community Emergency Response Teams". These teams are in place all over the country and are comprised of everyday people like you and me. They are not first responders, but are used to supplement emergency services. As a former Paramedic, I sure could have used some help from time to time. If you are working on a very large construction project, this may be a good idea for you.
