Where do construction workers get most of their safety training? At tool box safety meetings, of course. The problem is, the guy giving the meeting has to think of a different topic each time. There have been alot of time where I have reviewed sign-in sheets where the topic has been the same week in and week out. What are the guys getting from this? probably nothing, it has become a waste of time.
And if the guy does come up with a topic, where does he get the supporting information? Most times it becomes a war story about something that has happened in his past experience. Don't get me wrong, those stories have a place, but not at a safety meeting. Use the link below and make the most of your time with safety.
Tip: Don't read it right off the page, study it and speak in your own words.
